A $500.00 deposit is required on all puppies.  It is non-refundable.   Deposits are non-refundable, regardless of the reason you cannot make the purchase of the puppy.  ___ Initials


Health Guarantee

This contract is valid for the original purchaser of the puppy from winterbluedanes (Seller) only. If the dog is transferred
to another owner then this contract is null and void.  Buyer must return signed copy of this contract in order for it to be valid within 5 days from purchase date of the puppy.      _____  Initials


Seller gives the Buyer three (3) working days after receipt of the puppy to have the puppy thoroughly checked by a veterinarian.  If any abnormality that could be life threatening is found (heart, kidney, or lung), the Seller must be notified immediately.  If the puppy is found to have a life threatening defect the buyer must take the puppy for a second opinion.  The buyer must provide a written statement from both vets regarding the life threatening defect before a replacement puppy or a refund will be given, and it will need to be discussed with a veterinarian of Sellers choice before any refund/exchange is granted.  Seller is not responsible for illness or health problems that are diagnosed after this period.   _____ Initials

If the puppy dies during this time or within the three days after receipt, an autopsy must be performed.  Buyer must provide the Seller with a statement from the vet along with the autopsy results before a replacement puppy or a refund will be given, and it will need to be discussed with a veterinarian of Sellers choice before any refund/exchange is granted.   Also, if a life threatening defect is found, the Buyer must return the puppy to the Seller with full registration papers before a refund or replacement puppy is given.  Buyer is responsible for all costs incurred after the puppy has left the breeders home.  The Seller in turn will be given 12-24 months to replace the puppy with a puppy of equal value and quality.  If the Buyer does not take the puppy for an examination three days after receipt of the puppy, this health guarantee will be void, and the buyer will have no recourse against the breeder.  _____ Initials

Vaccinations:  You have been provided with a record of your puppy’s vaccinations up to the date that you receive him/her.  Seller is not responsible if Buyer's vet overloads the puppy on vaccinations or worming because they doubt the validity of Seller's health record.  It is the responsibility of the buyer to continue the shots every three weeks up to the age of sixteen weeks.  The puppy should not be exposed to other dogs until all vaccinations are received.  The puppy should not be taken to dog parks, pet stores or other places where other dogs frequent.  Parvo is highly contagious and can be spread on the bottom of shoes and on clothing.   _____ Initials

This health guarantee does not cover parasites, external or internal, Giardia, Hypoglycemia, Hepatitis, Parvo, Kennel Cough, Distemper, Rabies, Coccidiosis, and Corona.  The puppy has been administered the proper immunizations, and the breeder is not held responsible for what the puppy might be exposed to after it leaves my home.  _____  Initials

Seller further guarantees this puppy until one year of age (from date of birth) against life threatening congenital defects, (heart, kidney, lungs). If within that time period a life threatening congenital defect is found, Seller will replace this puppy with another of the same breed, quality, sex. The replacement will be subject to availability (within 12 - 24 months). Seller will not be responsible for illness or health problems that are diagnosed after this time period. In the unlikely event of this puppy’s death in the first 12 months, due to a congenital defect, a statement from a veterinarian confirming such an event and cause is required before the Seller will take any action.  An autopsy is required at Buyers expense. Under no circumstances is this puppy to be euthanized without Sellers knowledge and consent. Under no circumstances will Seller be responsible for veterinary or medical bills incurred.  _____ Initials

This guarantee does not cover the following:

Uneven bite:  Not life threatening

Coat color:  The coat color can change as the puppy matures.

Collapsed trachea:  Not life threatening.

Hernias of any category.

Size:  Breeder can in no way guarantee the size and weight of the puppy when it is full grown.  An estimation can be made, but it is just that, and estimation.

Testicles:  The breeder does not guarantee the presence of both testicles.  If only one testicle descends or none, the breeder cannot be held accountable.  We do not guarantee that both will drop.  Sometimes at eight weeks of age, they are just too young to tell.  They usually drop at around six months of age.

Ability to Whelp or Sire a Litter:  The breeder cannot guarantee the ability of the puppy to be able to sire a litter or to whelp a litter.

Hip dysplasia: can happen if the puppy is not fed the right kind of food (Large breed puppy) if this happens the seller is not  responsible.

ear cropping: should be done at about 8 to  12weeks old if you wait past 12 weeks most vets wont do it. 

Shipping:  The breeder is in no way responsible for the death or injury of the puppy during shipping.  Breeder is also not responsible if the airlines losses the puppy or sends it to the wrong destination.   Breeder agrees to insure the puppy for the flight for the purchase price of the puppy.  In the event that the aforementioned happens, it is the responsibility of the buyer to settle the issue with the airline.  ____ Initials

There will be no refunds due to incompatibility, allergies, or landlord disputes. Please call me if you are having problems.  I do not want to see one of my babies in an animal shelter. I will try to help you find a new home for them if the need arises .  _____ Initials

If at any time you do not want or can not keep  the puppy after purchasing it, you must return it to the breeder, the vet records and registration papers must accompany the dog.  The Buyer agrees that there will not be a refund or replacement puppy in this instance.  Every effort will be made to find the great dane a good home by the Seller.  Seller  will not be responsible for shipping costs in this instance.  This puppy may never be soId or given away to any individual, company, research facility, or group except to the Seller - winterbluedanes.  Please contact me, and I will do all I can to find the great dane a new home.  ____ Initials

My breeding stock are examined regularly by my veterinarian to ensure that they do not have any of the above.  However, I can in no way guarantee that the conditions stated above will never happen during the life of your great dane, and I will not be held responsible if any of these conditions arise.

No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this agreement except as stated above.

After having read and understood the aforementioned document, both parties accept the above agreement by signing below.
